One of our motivations for sharing these ideas with you is to recognise the causes and effects of stress. Our perspective can often influence how we perceive life’s problems. For example, when we focus completely on our difficulties or problems, they become the focal point for everything we experience. It’s as if our problems become the lens through which we see our lives. So it’s extremely helpful to place our problems into context and see them alongside all of the more positive aspects of our lives. This does not deny the existence of our challenges but when they are placed in a broader and more balanced perspective, we do not feel so stressed and can then engage our creativity to work out the best ways to deal with our problems. Let us put aside the lens of fear that distorts our perception and learn to experience life from a calmer and more positive viewpoint.
