IMG_1756How you value abundance? Riches can be measured in a multitude of ways. We can all appreciate the value of financial security and the importance of having enough cash to fund our choices. But whilst money is certainly a significant factor in the way we evaluate abundance in the developed world, we often neglect the importance of other factors that contribute to the quality of our lives. So whilst teaching and encouraging the practical methods for acquiring financial independence, I also emphasise the need for physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

An important study conducted in the United States several decades ago interviewed thousands of successful individuals and scored the overall quality of their lives Despite the obvious evidence of financial success, only four percent of the people in question could be described as happy and fulfilled. That was surprising because everyone had assumed that the majority would be enjoying their wealth and success. Not so. Money alone was not the answer. Neither was a lack of money!

The exciting conclusion of the survey was that the behaviours of that extraordinary four percent could be learned. It meant that we could all practise those particular behaviours that leant themselves to wealth, abundance, success and an abiding sense of happiness. Abundance – real abundance – is not an accident. It’s a product of choices, focused behaviours and positive attitudes. It’s a shining message of hope for everyone. And you can begin the process today.
